Let’s Talk About Dementia

The Barnsley Third Sector Dementia Alliance in partnership with Dementia and Me would like to invite you to the Barnsley Dementia Conference, ‘Let’s Talk About Dementia’.

Wednesday 20 March 2024, 12 noon to 5pm

The Arena, Barnsley Metrodome, Queens Road, Barnsley, S71 1AN

The day is for people with dementia and their carers, health, social care and third sector providers to network, find out about the support available, share their experience and have their say.

Information stalls will be open for people to drop in 12 noon to 1pm and again 4pm to 5pm.

Keynote speakers and feedback discussions will take place between 1pm and 4pm. There will be opportunities to network and ask questions in between.

The dementia experience bus will be parked outside the event for people to have the chance to experience what it might feel like to have dementia. Please ask at the sign in desk on the day to book a 15 minute slot on the bus if you’d like to have a go.

The agenda and list of stall holders will be shared on the webpage closer to the time. Keep an eye out for more details!

The event will take place in the arena, the large room downstairs in the Metrodome. This is directly accessible around the back of the building.

There is plenty of free car parking. Disabled spaces may be limited. Some parking is available around the back closer to the event entrance. Stewards will be on hand to direct you on the day.

All are welcome to come and go as needed on the day. Please feel free to drop in at one of the information sessions and all are welcome to join in with the talks on offer throughout the afternoon. We look forward to welcoming you on the day!
